Introduction

"The Appalachian Moon" is a thrilling book about UFOs , secretive projects of the American Wool Council, the Federal Government and the famous railroad photographer, "O. Winston Link"  concerning his strange and bizarre encounters with models and photography as he wandered through the Appalachian towns conducting photo sessions in the midst of the night during the late 1940s -1950s.

The paranormal phenomenon occurring through those mountains brought forth telecommunications of extraordinary measures of scientific research beyond the imagination of any photographer.

With the steam engines roaring through the valleys of the sleepy little towns, there was something seemingly eerie about those photographs.....

O. Winston Link traveled through the Appalachian mountains of Virginia, using specialized lighting processes in attempts to capture perfect night time photos of the steam engines steaming around the mountains. I believe that something much more secretive was going on with Link's projects than merely being a photographer.

My theories are that the studies relating to using sequences of lights, and light flashes that produced the refractions on various phenomenons, were then created in the photos using various techniques with other reactions from shadows in his photos with  Aliens and UFOs. These ghostly images were then stored on negatives that were specialized x-ray films and not simple photo negatives.

Link's eerie photos of "Star Trek" type Models tell of very top secret projects that were possibly being conducted. I now reveal these documents and files from the Sheep Ranches of Texas and of the American Wool Bureau.

His bizarre and unusual methods of a vast amount of lighting was a method that he himself coined, inventing a most marvelous way in which to capture the steam engines as they came around the mountains.

His array of lighting appeared more like small satellite dishes than anything, seemingly trying to capture communications from Mars more than a photographer using extreme amounts of equipment.

My further theories of the mysteries of O. Winston Link are that he may have been an undercover intelligence researcher on UFOs for some unknown intelligence agency, a Cosmic Spy so to speak. He conducted his research for 4 years from 1954-1959 under the guise of photography.

According to my three years of research, my conclusions are that his last wife, Conchita Mendoza discovered the secrets of his photographs and then was attacked by Link's associates that knew of these top secret experiments.

I believe that the negatives held paranormal information and that Link's connection to the American Wool Council was also moving models that were not of this world, they came and went through portals of time travel and were of alien origins.

The network had to frame Mendoza in order to keep the secrets silent of Link's experiments. Most of the eerie photos of the models that I had discovered in the Wool Bureau's files were quite disturbing as well as mysterious.

The saga of the Sheep Ranch in the Roswell, New Mexico incident has parallel connections to this case of O. Winston Link.

Who were these mysterious Cosmic Models and what ever became of them....

Scientist developing films in Juneau, Alaska

These mystical images that were developed by this scientist appears as if the subject was caught by surprise as it seemed to have been bending over doing something on the frozen tundra of the ground.

The most intriguing aspect of this image is the shape and size of the subject. The area in which the subject is standing seems to be a type of pipeline, of which would have been an oil pipeline running
through Juneau, Alaska.

The Roswell, New Mexico UFO incident occurred on a Sheep Ranch, which is where the Wool Bureau frequently sent Elizabeth on business. This is also the time in the 1950s when O. Winston Link was roaming around the Appalachians conducting his photography.

Director, Elizabeth Tanner worked as an Intelligence Reporter for the Juneau, Alaska Empire Newspaper. She had previously been a photographer/reporter for the New York Times and the Rhode Island Providence Journal, working with notable  reporters such as Dorothy Kilgallen and frequenting The famous New York Stork Club with all of the Hollywood stars, designers and writers.

Elizabeth's tales of the New York Stork Club, Dorothy Kilgallen and of Alaska were stories that I cherish, she so carefully told me of her adventures while she was in Alaska working on various articles for her publications with the Alaska Empire. She talked about the Stork Club as well.

Although the characters of her stories and the details didn't make much sense to me at the time, I listened very attentively and so enjoyed our visits together.

When I received remnants of her documents from her plundered estate, I hastily stored them not realizing the severity of the perpetrators that had been the criminals of her estate for years, they were lurking, watching and stalking. The storage unit was constantly plundered through as if they were afraid that I may have had something magical that they had missed, and I did. Information, a treasure trove of information.

Elizabeth had cautioned me nearly daily about something I just did not understand, I tried to listen, but simply had no idea as to what she was trying to convey.

Her warnings were very sincere but what she had told me made no sense until I began sifting through her documents two years later.

She had told me that she was still editing and writing, she was 95 years old at that time. I thought that she may have had a touch of dementia or forgetfulness and I did not pay much attention to what she so lovingly tried to tell me.

Elizabeth mentioned a mysterious man that knew of my Father, She spoke of him often, yet I never questioned whom she was referring to.

"Steam, Steel & Stars" , O. Winston Link,

                                                                       "OWL Productions"

This book, "Steam, Steel & Stars" is an "O. Winston Link" series of his railroad photos that his wife Conchita Mendoza had organized to be published.

He had sent this to Elizabeth, it contained a letter from him in the book  with his autograph, dated 1996.

All of Link's older original productions had his signature "Owl" stamped on the back with a series of identifying numbers & letters.

The major problem for these conservative stories that the "Linkster fans" have, is that they've had job security by keeping the truth about Link under wraps. Their very conservative, misleading portrayal of Link has been to shine up his rusty reputation as the victim.

Link didn't publish his book "Steam, Steel & Stars" until after he married Conchita Mendoza, she was the skilled advertiser of his books. Secondly, they made Link's death such a "matter of fact" ordeal to keep it quiet and bring forth no suspicions, afterall, they have a Museum to run, photo prints and books to sell. They want to keep the focus on Link as a Railroad photographer only, as to not tarnish his image.

Ironically, Link was found dead in his car outside of a Railway station of which they reported it as such a normal occurrence with zero suspicions. I theorize that the perps stole the loot of heisted photos and negatives and stored them, claiming Mendoza did it so that Link and his heirs couldn't sell them. They waited a few years until Mendoza was out of the way, they recovered the millions of dollars worth of materials.

Furthermore, Link has sordid tales of Conway Link's childhood that sound as if they were using MK Ultra programming on young Conway Link.  Winston Link and his pal pretended to be an Uncle when Conway was around in childhood, which points to a scheme of mind control. This story gets so twisted and bizarre that their corporation has probably had to keep these stories out of the press for years.

The missing photos that Link talked most about were those he took in 1960 at Staten Island, Verrazano Bridge where Ft. Wadsworth is.  That area was as haunted then as it is now, with old military underground tunnels that Link took nighttime photos of. Those lost images seem to be what disturbed him the most about the heisted photos.

The rumors of Link being held captive are most believable to me because I know similar things were happening to these other characters such as Sherman Billingsley, The New York Stork Club owner who was kidnapped supposedly by mobsters. I'd say it's a good chance that these shape-shifting aliens have been using covers of the mob stories to hide what's really been going on.  It's like a Alien Cosmic Watergate.

Conway Link lied to me about many things during our meetings. I know he's a little weasel and firmly believe that Conchita was framed by that whole Linkster Crew.  Link's photos were marketed in such a manner that they've employed many people, building several corporations and have sold millions in sales.  Then we have the true artists, Link dead near the train station and Conchita ripped off and imprisoned.

Another strange twist is that Link took a job with Westinghouse and stayed in that town for five years taking photos that he claims no publisher would touch for many years until Conchita came into the picture. Her new love was working on the train of Link's of which I believe he knew of this Cosmic, steamy time travel.

The fact that Link claims that he was held captive and there were no real sales with him making any public appearances or book signings sounds more like they were all involved and covering the entire secret network up.

By the time I sifted through a vintage camper full of Elizabeth's documents, I'd found some frightening letters and photos from the 1950s that validated Link being held hostage.

There were phone books, notes, letters and books....and, people following me.

I began finding other letters that seemed more like deliberate riddles than business communications between friends or colleagues. In 2016 someone heisted the vintage camper and took the documents.

When I found the series of photographs of the fashion models from the 1950s, surprisingly, they had the OWL logos stamped on them

The Cosmic Spy

Through my months and years of research, I discovered the sordid stories of the Link cases concerning his wife Mendoza that seemed so bizarre and far fetched, that I had to wonder what was going on with not only the photography industry, but with the travels of Link through the Appalachians.

His bazaar and unusual methods of a vast amount of lighting was a method that he himself coined, inventing a most marvelous way in which to capture the steam engines as they came around the mountains.

His array of lighting appeared more like small satellite dishes than anything, seemingly trying to capture communications from Mars more than a photographer using extreme amounts of equipment.

"Cosmic, Steamy Time Travel"

Focusing on my photos, I examined them very closely for nearly two years, attaching them to documents and filing them in categories in attempts of creating the years of Elizabeth's time with the Wool Bureau and in New York.

Upon examining the rare negatives, they appeared more like "X-Rays" than simple photo negatives, as if the photographer was using a specific film to see into the body for something in particular. If you look closely at this negative, it appears as if something is located in the elbow.

Could it be that Conchita Mendoza discovered something about the secretive project that they framed her to keep her silent?

The gelatine negatives were priceless, it could be that they held secret information and that is why they were being stored separately from the other boxes of photographs.

It has been a constant struggle trying to obtain any of Elizabeth's writing, as if someone deliberately blotted them out of archives.  When I came upon the model photographs,  I suddenly realized Link was the center of this mystery.

Realizing that I had an original series of rare OWL photos, I began contacting others to market them and find additional info. I met Judy Lawne, a prominent New York photographer who has a remarkable resume'. We corresponded and had similar ideas of books, she invited me to assist her in a book about her years working with O. Winston Link. I was thrilled to know her.

These classic original "OWL" photographs are extremely rare and were stolen.
The stolen art of the photographs have a mysterious story relating to the framing of Conchita Mendoza, the wife of famous photographer, "O. Winston Link".

These images were photographed by photographer O. Winston Link in the 1950s when he worked for the American Wool Bureau under his Director, Elizabeth Tanner.

Most don't know of Link's past of photographing models, he's primarily known and famous for his railroad photos.

These peculiar models looked like something out of "Star Trek" with strange features and odd clothing.

Link's railroad photos sat in boxes and containers for years with no promotions to his work until he married Conchita Mendoza. Conchita worked hours, weeks and months on Link's projects and assisted him in the productions that made him famous as well as his series of books.

Mendoza was then attacked by legal claims of thefts of her own Husband's photos of which she had every right to possess, for she was the advertiser and agent in charge of the projects, she was also his legal wife.

Original "OWL" photographs, Authenticated by "Winston Conway Link", of "Gallery 1888" in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Conway Link authenticated these photos as originals, he then demanded that I give them to him.

He stated, "I want my father's photos". I told Link that the photos were for sale and that I would loan the book to him as a courtesy from Elizabeth Tanner's estate to duplicate the photos but told him he could not reproduce them. These photos are my personal property, Conway Link has absolutely no entitlement to copyrights on any of these images.

These classic original "OWL" photographs are extremely rare and were stolen. The estimated value of this collection is approximately $300,000.00 or more.

These photos  were reviewed for auction on Christie's Of London.

The common denominator of specifically three of these prestigious models seems to be that they all appeared to be pregnant.

I believe that this indicates that the models were being used for creating a secret lineage of perhaps a Royal King, a type of "Holy Grail" in accordance to their secretive beliefs.

Sheep Of Another Fold:

The stolen art of my collection and photographs have a mysterious story relating to the framing of Conchita Mendoza, the wife of famous photographer, "O. Winston Link".

The photos were authenticated by Conway Link in 2014 during our meeting.

These thefts tells a tale of the lengths that these shysters will go through to conduct what seems to be a legitimate and legal transaction of books, photos and publications that are actually stolen and  plagiarized materials.

Original O. Winston Link images contain the OWL stamp on the back of the photos with a series of letters, usually in pencil.

These strange appearing models and photos are a series of OWL images that were in the files of Elizabeth Tanner, Director for the American Wool Bureau.

We've tried to identify the exact location of the image and believe it was in Los Angeles near Hyde Park in about 1944.

This elusive model is also unidentified.

Researching these eerie images became quite the daunting task, the most intriguing aspect were the people that I began to associate with concerning "O. Winston Link"
and of his past.

The history of Link became a tale of mysteries that seemed to close up rather than unravel...The multi levels of cover ups were very alarming, as well as horrifying.

In the winter of 2014, I found Conway Link in Shreveport, Louisiana, Winston's son, a professor at a Shreveport University, he also has an Art Gallery, Gallery 1888.

I contacted Link and explained to him what I had concerning the photos. He wanted to meet quickly of which I was also thrilled about.

That meeting was horrifying....

Chapter II.

The International Wool Bureau

The American Wool Bureau dealt with Sheep Ranches worldwide, the connection between O. Winston Link and Elizabeth in wool, quite Frankly, made no sense.

True, Link was a photographer hired by the Wool company and worked strictly under Elizabeth's Direction, but the strange letters and riddles of the communications became quite baffling to try and sort out during my investigations into the Wool Bureau and what had happened to Elizabeth's years of writings.

I had many exciting conversations with Elizabeth, the most memorable was the one about Lucille Ball.  I told Elizabeth that I had found a letter she had written to Lucy, she said she wanted it, I gave it to her, she glanced at it then ripped it up...I asked her why she and Lucy were such rivals, she said, "Because I have bigger and better parties than she did". Such a classic....

This photo is a close up of an untouched original of Lucy at the Stork Club, notice the neck line of the woman in the mirror, it looks alien and reptilian.

Such a masterpiece.

Chapter III.

"Old Time Dipper"

O give me a drink from an old cedar bucket,
a red cedar bucket
like the one we used to have.

It hung from a hook above a wide shelf
And seemed to say, "Come help yourself",
it hung from a hook above a wide shelf
That was made from an old pine board.

And let me drink from a long handled dipper,
An old fashioned dipper,
O let me drink from an old-time dipper
Carved from a long-stemmed gourd.

From the Savannahs to the far mountains,
Down the valleys to the sea-
Your face, O lovely lady,
Has forever beckoned me.

Then I saw you
One glorious day in June,
And found that you had come too late,
While I had come too soon.

Frank Baskerville Tanner, aka Duah, 1940s-1950s

"At Eventide"

Into my heart and out again,

Restless as the waves of the sea,

Visions of the now and then and dim futurity...

Pass in phantom flight

Speaking of the deeds of another year,

Stirring memories long thought dead-

Eyes of azure, hair of gold

and thoughts of a love

That's long been told.

Baby fingers clasped in mine,

Stumbling feet and lisping tongue,

lips like coral, eyes that shine,

Of these I dream when the day is done.
